Library

Library is the heart and spirit of any college. It acquires, processes, preserves and disseminates information to the user community with the goal of empowering knowledge.
Recent shifts in educational philosophy, expanded curricula, examination reforms, expansion of knowledge, and advances in information technology have created awareness regarding the importance of libraries in higher education. College libraries are now recognised as a valuable resource for supporting the teaching-learning process.
Our college library has a large collection of books, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Handbooks and reference materials to meet students' and faculty's academic and research needs. It has a Reference, Circulation and a Periodical Section. Apart from the ample number of textbooks, the total no. of books is 38470. Total no. of E-books and E-journals are 195809, 6293 respectively.
In order to improve the library services, suggestions from the students and teachers are welcomed. They are encouraged to recommend new books and suggest new titles to the library in order to expand the collection.
Our Library has been using LIBMAN software since 2004. Data of the library is completely computerized and each book has its own unique barcode. An Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is made available for all the students.
